itunes prevents sleep mode

Hello team,

i have a mac mini (latest model) running Mac OS X 10.6.5. Whenever itunes is just opened and NOT playing any music or internet radio it prevents the mac mini from going to sleep mode.

I want use the mac mini as my musicserver and it should go to sleep when itunes is playing nothing. Instead it only sets the display to sleep. There is only itunes opened. No sharing activated.

Any suggestions?

Oliver

More details on this issue:

It looks like the function "look for iPod touch, iPhone and iPad Remote" prevents the mac mini from going to sleep mode. If I turn this function off, the mac mini goes to sleep.

Any suggestions to use the remote function and get the mac mini to sleep? I thought that the Apple Remote App is capable of WOL and can wake up a sleeping mac with the magic packet...
