Is Mac App Store down (also cannot get Apple phone support)

Is there a major Itunes store outage? I have not been able to download any Mac Store Apps or sign into my account since 9:00 AM or so Eastern Time Sunday Feb 20. Apple is not providing ANY access to any customer service by phone either.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

I noticed I could not connect to the iTunes store from my iPhone. then when I tried to get on using my computer, I can get to the store but not purchase or update any apps.

An Applecare tech was able to help me fix my inability to sign in to either iTunes or Mac App store. The company had a systemwide issue with a number of users having trouble signing in to their accounts. The issue is being corrected, but apparently some folks are still having issues.

An Applecare tech was able to help me resolve the issue. Apple is (or was as of 12 noon Feb. 20) having problems with some people trying to sign into their iTunes store and Mac App store accounts.

He had me to go http://appleid.apple.com, sign in and click on "manage my account" link. This seemed to restore my access.
