How do I get my iPad screen to stay on until I manually turn it off?

When reading a web page, for example, I may want the screen to stay on for an hour, but I have to keep touching it to keep it on. When my hands are covered with eggs and flour, I don't like touching the screen every 2 minutes.

Dell, Windows XP

Settings > General > Auto-Lock > Never

Don't forget to reset it to a timeout value when you are finished!

Go to settings, display & brightness, auto lock to change the time.

Hi. With iOS 10, the lock settings have moved to Settings > Display & Brightness.

I have a need to have the screen stay on for more than 5 minutes but not forever. More like 1 hour. Any way to do a custom setting?

No.

The longest period is 15 minites and remember, the longer the iPad's screen stays active, the faster the battery drain and shorter sctive time on the battery.
