Adding music to the menu in iDVD with the Main Stage 7.0 Theme gives error

Are you working with added iTunes music/audio by any chance? If so, you may want to burn it to CD /aiff prior to importing into iMovie or iDvd. I often import directly from a CD into iM or iDvd because is saves me from having to fuss DRM issues.

Apple claims that if you make a playlist first in iTunes and then bring that into iM /iDvd, might help. Have you tried this also?


Btw, please verify you have at least 25 GB's of available Hard Drive space on the boot volume.

Have you tried disposing of iDvd's plist? Quit iDvd first. Go to your Home Folder > Library > Preferences >


com.apple.iDvd.plist



Restart your mac and try iDvd again. Come on back if this too fails.



Also, let us know if you have already run apple's software updater recently from within System Preferences.

You are not in the right folder then.




Go to your HOME folder (the one that looks like a house) > Library> Preferences > com.apple.iDvd.plist



It has to be there (assuming you've successfully launched iDvd at least once in the past).

I'm assuming you went to the file menu in iDvd and then down to Save as a disc image.

This is so strange. And you say you did already try burning the audio to CD first and then using the CD itself to import from. Is this correct? I know it works for me. Have no idea why it isn't working equally well for you.
