10.6.6 will not sleep with keystroke combination?

h'lo again, all...
any one experienced this?
on my MacBook Pro (2.16Ghz Core Duo) with OS 10.6.6, I can no longer use Option CommandEject to go to sleep. It "sleeps", but wakes right back up.
I can do the following;
Control Option+CommandEject to shutdown or,
Apple>Sleep to sleep or,
Apple>Shut Down to shut down.
Just ahve lost that one handy key combo.
thoughts?

What peripherals do you have attached? Are you using a wireless mouse or a BlueTooth mouse? If so what brand?

hey Kappy, thanks for the quick reply...
I've got a Belkin USB hub and a Kensington trackball and that's it... same stuff as I've had for a previous OSX configs.
no wireless stuff, at all...
odd thing is - like I said - it will sleep with the Apple>Sleep command - just not with the key combo...

Try removing the Belkin hub and see what happens. There are certain USB hubs that seem to interfere with sleep.

Other things you can try:

1. Boot into safe mode and give it a try.

2. Create a new user account then log into the new account. Give it a try.

Do you have any success with one of these?
