iPhone Randomly Losing Service

More and more frequently my iPhone is loosing service in areas I normally have it. I will just pick it up and notice that in the upper left hand corner it will say "no service". Once I shut down and reboot, the service bars are where they should be. Any ideas on why this is happening? Is it happening to anyone else? It just ***** because I never know that it has lost service until I look at the phone and there have been several occasions where I have missed many calls or text messages-- very frustrating!

I'm having the same problem, but only at home and within a mile of my house. At my office or other places it works fine. ATT has done nothing but make me angry about the issue. It has been 10 days since I first called in about it. It has escalated to the point that I had a critical case that they claim is being resolved today. It is 10:30 PM and my 3g service still comes and goes when at home.

I'm so sick of ATT and I'm hoping Verizon will be even a tiny bit better and able to admit that their network has faults....unlike ATT.

I have had the same problem, only at home is where i dont have service and then when i go to town it works just fine.. I have done everything I can do but the thing is its not ATT its the phone itself, all of my family has iphones and everyone else has perfect service here. I went to ATT and they said i will have to call apple because it is possibly the sim card reader in the phone so i need to see what they say about it, they will more than likely just replace the phone. I am calling apple in a few minutes.
