How to double the frame rate in Shake?

I need to reinterlace some footage (screencapture) to make it fit into an interlaced project. How can I double the frame rate from 25p to 50p without frame blending for a videoclip in Shake? The next step should be to interlace it, which I guess simply can be done with the interlace node?

I'm confused. Don't you mean you want to go from 25p to 50i?
You don't really want the screen capture to be faster, right?

To go from 25 fps progressive to 25 fps interlaced (25i50),
select the Timing tab on the FileIn node, and select Convert
in the reTiming parameter. Set InputFrameRate to PAL (25),
and you can leave the OutputFrameRate at default or set it to PAL.
Expand the OutputFrameRate parameter to reveal a toggle called
OutputFrameInterlaced. Click to turn on. Set the OutputFrameDominance
to be odd (PAL). Scoll down to see the Deinterlacing parameter.
You can probably leave it set to Fast, but you can get better
results with much more processing time by setting it to Good.

Connect FileIn to FileOut.

In the Fileout node, choose Quicktime and select codec options,
and choose a preset–for example, DVCPRO-PAL–and set the
scan option to Interlaced.

Render.

Look, you can tell FCP that it's interlaced - it doesn't matter. If you want to use it in an interlaced timeline, click on your clip, ⌘9, from the field dominance popup, change it to match your timeline.

Bingo. Interlaced. All it means is that FCP will now deal with the clips in fields when resizing/processing. It doesn't matter if the original frame is progressive.

Too bad you can't shoot 720p...

If your target is the web, you should de-interlace the footage and work in a non-interlaced timeline.

Personally, I prefer Graeme's smart de-interlacer from Nattress film effects. And you only apply it to the footage you use in your timeline, rather than de-interlacing everything first...

btw, people were helpful in that other thread, you might show some gratitude... FYI:
