Crediting apple loops?

though royalty free, Apple Inc., holds the rights to all the loops it distributes, so it would be who to credit. you can find more about commercial release here:

I might go with something like "All musical loops Copyright © 2011 Apple Inc., used with permission"

or perhaps "All Royalty free musical loops copyright © 2011, Apple Inc."

I don't think you have to credit Apple if you use their loops. The Apple doc says You may use the Apple and third party audio loop content (Audio Content), contained in or otherwise included with the Apple Software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original music compositions or audio projects. It's your own music - and I've never seen any commercially produced music crediting the source of their drum loops.

no, i don't believe there's any requirement from Apple, i got the impression that her competition is requiring it (there have been a couple of other posters i remember that explained that it was required for what THEY were doing)

could you please give us the exact position in the Apple doc where you found this: You may use the Apple .... And do you believe that this counts for commercial uses of such music too?

I think you'll be able to find the exact position. In addition to what is quoted from the license agreement, it says:

"So don't worry, you can make commercial music with GarageBand, you just can't distribute the loops as loops."
