Bluetooth car connection iPod Touch 4g

I have bought a new bluetooyh equipped car, and can easily pair my Nokia phone, but am unable to pair my wifes iPod Touch: Am I missing something? Is there an apple add-on I need, or should I sell the car to get the ipod to work? 🙂 Does anybody have advice for a plug and play dummy? (other than the obvious, of course :))

The best I can tell you is I have the same problem and I have been told that you will have to use your usb connection to make it work (which I haven't tried) and or use earplugs. Apparently the bluetooth used in the car and what is on the Ipod are different I don't know the work but in essence in car 2.5 and ipod 1.3. That's just in example but that is the way I understand it. If you figure it out let me know.
Thanks
