No Contacts on SIM Card

I went to Sprint store to transfer the Contacts I have on my iPhone to a new phone I bought. They tried twice to transfer, but it appears there were no Contacts on my iPhone SIM. Is that possible? If so, how do I get my Contacts on to my iPhone SIM? Thanks very much. Mal

The iPhone does not store any info on the SIM card, including contacts. Your contacts are stored in the memory of your iPhone and with whatever program or service you use to sync your contacts with.

There's no way to do that on an iPhone. What are you syncing your contacts with? Perhaps you can use that with your new phone.

The new phone I bought is not a "smart" phone, so I don't synch it at all. The only way to get my existing Contacts on to it is to synch with the SIM from the iPhone.

The iPhone has been synched with either my main computer directly or MobileMe.

Sounds like I'm out of luck. Just seems odd that there is no way to get the Contacts on the SIM. What's the point of the SIM, then?

Assuming your syncing your contacts with MobileMe, you should be able to get them from there to the SIM on your new phone. FYI, the SIM is required to connect with the network on all GSM phones.
