Says my security code on my Visa is bad but it's not. Help?

I tried updating apps on my phone and it says I need to Sign In to do it. After I sign in it needs to update my billing info, itunes is claiming I have an invalid security code for the card I have associated with the account. I am holding the card in my hand, it's not expired, the security code matches the card but it is still telling me it doesnt match. What's going on here???

Thanks! Dan

One thing to check, which has caused this error for some: make sure the name and address information in the Payment Information for your account matches that of your credit card exactly, even to not using a period after "St" if your card billing information doesn't. There have been reports that any small difference can cause the card to be rejected. Worth checking, anyway.

If it continues to fail, contact the iTunes Store Customer Service department using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) and explain your situation to them. Going to an Apple Store will do no good as there's nothing they can do to fix the problem.

Regards.

I am having the same problem and am going crazy here trying to get it fixed. I cannot purchase anything from the store and in fact I cant even update the security cvv code on my card without getting an error in the store. I have sent an email to support hours ago and no reply yet ! Its absolutely insane that you cannot speak to a person on their end to get these problems fixed faster. I am trying to setup a paid app for my business and if this is the kind of downtime I can expect from apple then how can anyone possibly rely on them ???

email support only is a great way to tell your clients to "**** off and call someone who cares" !

Absolutely brutal !

I too have the same problem and when I called 1 800 my apple, they want to charge me $29.99 for a 30 day tech support package just for someone to fix a simple problem! I was then advised to come to this website and try the troubleshooting tips, etc. Very frustrating not to get a live person to deal with your issues, which makes it even more stressful.

I sent 2 emails to support with no reply. I even re tried adding my credit card info , but keep getting the same error message; credit card security code invalid. This is just recent that I have been prompted constantly for my billing info and I'm going nuts. If I ever find a solution or a reply, I'll let you know!
