iPhone and Verizon Yahoo email problem?

I have a Verizon Yahoo email account. When I delete the email on my iPhone, it doesn't delete on my computer. Likewise, when I delete the email on my computer, it doesn't delete on my iPhone. It is getting very bothersome to delete my email on both devices.

I previously had a Moto Droid, and never had a problem with this. I also have an iPad, and don't have this problem on that either. I stopped by the Verizon Wireless store today, but they were clueless.

If anyone has an iphone4 and yahoo mail account, and you are having trouble syncing your email (personal folders, etc), here is the solution. Push "add account", select "other" then select "add account". Type in your name and a fake email (ex: evie@evie.com) with a password. Select "imap" at the top of the screen then type in your real email info. The host name is imap.mail.yahoo.com and smtp is smtp.mail.yahoo.com.

Thanks for that suggestion, but unfortunately it did not work. 😟

Having to delete my email on both my computer and my iPhone is becoming a huge pain. Any more suggestions out there?
