.RAR files

Hi all

I need to convert a .rar files to mpeg4 how do I do that?

I could look it up but it's polite for you to provide all of the information we need to help you. What is a .rar file? Where did you get it?

David its a file I am downloading from the internet and it has a .rar extention...thats all I know

.RAR is a compressed file, similar to a .zip file. The video files should be contained within that container.

After you finish downloading it, try double clicking it to see if it'll expand. You may need to install Stuffit Expander though.

Thanks just thought maybe you gents have dealt with these files before , I have found a converter on the net just thought that it could be open via compressor or something like that on the mac ... thanks for the little google video David made my morning....
