Determining how many rings until dumped into voicemail?

I've looked around but I can't seem to figure out how to set how many rings until the call goes into voicemail. Anyone?

thats a carrier setting you have to call your carrier..

This is set by the carrier according to total ring time, not number of rings which can vary by ringtone. Don't know about Verizon, but the max for most carriers is 30-40 seconds.
