Conecting to Yamaha RX-V1067

I am about to purchase a new receiver (Yamaha RX-V1067) with Lan/Internet capabilities. The receiver should be cable of accessing the hard drive of LAN- connected PCs and play, amongst others, the MP3 files on the HDD. This works with windows based PCs. I can't seem to make the music connection with either Macbook or Imac in a similar way. Does someone have experience? The Apple is capable of connecting to the receiver (via LAN) since the Yamaha can be remotely operated through the IP address of the receiver (via the Mac), just the folder with the music does not show on the receiver/TV

Several, iOS 4

Being able to connect to an administration page is different from being able to stream music to the receiver. A brief perusal of google indicated that Macs are not supported. That being said, you should contact Yamaha product support. They are the only ones who will be able to give you the definitive answer and maybe some workarounds for your particular situation.
