Spelling Checkers for Russian and Estonian

Spelling Checkers for Russian and Estonian

Could someone please suggest a way of getting proofing tools - a spelling (and grammar) checker - for Russian. (Estonian might be useful sometimes, as well, but it's not important.) Will I need to install a third-party application, or am I missing something?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.6), late 2007, black, 2GB RAM

Spelling and grammar are built into Mac OS X Snow Leopard. It should be available for both of those languages, but at a minimum Russian.

10.6 includes Russian spell checking already, but not Estonian.

You can add (.dic and .aff) dictionaries for OpenOffice 2, including Estonian, found here:

Unfortunately the link for dictionaries in that blog is not correct -- it takes you to the files for OpenOffice 3, and only the ones for OpenOffice 2 can be used in OS X.

Well if the OP can figure out how to get the Estonian files at your link, my link will tell him where to put them in Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

I found files that should work here;
