Dell U2711 in a Mac Pro - Best Callibration settings?

Hi guys. This is my first Post. This message is to ask if anyone has a really good calibration setting for this monitor DELL U2711. I purchased this monitor 1 month ago and want the best settings to use it in a Macpro 3.1. Im a graphic designer and also use after effects and final cut for motion graphics.

If anyone has good settings to recommend it would be great.

Can you explain me how to install the color profiles from that page?

Place the colour profiles in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles.

You can then select them using the Display pane in System Preferences. Click on the Color tab to view the list of installed Display profiles.

*+No one+* can give you the proper calibration. Calibration is highly dependent upon your ambient lighting among other things.

If you want accurate color, get a calibration device - Pantone Huey, Spyder 2, i1....

If you think calibrators are too expensive and if your not using it professionally for mission critical work,
then check out the Huey Pro. Because even a cheap calibrator is better than no calibrator.

Edit. Just realized you'd be using it for Professional use so you'd probably want a higher grade one.
Though I would still recommend it over using ready-made profiles.
