"Installed" .bmap font doesn't appear in FontBook or other apps

I used FontBook to "install" a .bmap Bold font. The font now appears in my home/library/fonts folder, however, it does not appear in the font list in FontBook nor does it appear in the font list in Word. I have installed other .bmap fonts from the same family (and source), e.g., Demi, ExtraBold, Italic, Light, and they DO appear in all of the home/library/fonts folder, the FontBook font list and Word font list. I have cleaned my font cache (using the latest version of Onyx) and restarted but that doesn't help. Can anyone tell me what is going on with this one font and how I might make it functional?
