Deleting multiple emails on iPad

Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to delete multiple emails on the iPad instead of going through them one at a time.

Thanks for any help you can give!

On the Inbox pane, click on Edit at the top of edit, then highlight the ones that you want to delete, and then press the Delete button at the botton of the pane. In the Trash box when you click on Edit you then get the option to Delete All at the bottom of it.

I fully agree with Xock, the "multiple delete" function is a total farce, as it still involves tapping each email in turn, and what is more it opens them as you do it! GASP! Just as well that Apple products are totally immune from malware... NOT!

This is typical of Apple not wanting to adapt something that Windows has had for years, in this case a true multiple select (click first, shift-click last). I recon I can delete 100 emails in about a minute on my iPad; in Windows, I can do 1000 in 2 seconds!

Come on Apple, you are better than this.
