ipod touch 4 gen problems

I just got my ipod touch 4 generation Feb 12th and have had nothing but trouble with it and itunes. after several restorations i finally have all my music, videos, apps, and photos on it. i do have tons of music, videos, apps and photos. most of which was on my older ipod touch, which accidently landed in the toilet. my video app closes shortly after starting it. there is delays when i press an icon to move it and sometimes that cause my ipod to restart. sometimes after restarting my songs and videos are gone. sometimes my apps are taken out of the folders. my ipod will reset in the middle of syncing and go back to the passcode screen several times. i have gone thru my apps to make sure they open up correctly and if they don't i take them off. this last time i added apps in batches to itunes and then i would sync my ipod. i'm still having problems. i'm so frustrated, how is this happening to such a new ipod touch and what can i do about it?
