excel copy paste

how do I copy cell A1:f5 and past to A6:f10?

copy range "[test.xlsx]Sheet1!A1:F5" seems to give me an error.

Macbook Black mid 2006, Mac OS X (10.6.2)

wow that looks wrong.

I just want to copy a range to another range in that sheet.

I found the answer:

tell application "Microsoft Excel"
set firstrange to value of range "A1:F5"
set value of cell "A6:f10" to firstrange
end tell

This solved about 6 hours of frustration I just ran into trying to use the simple and straightforward "paste worksheet" command. No matter what variant I tried, I got -1708 errors, unable to understand the command.

And it's 100x faster than in Numbers, which requires a column-wise array load and unload because there is no similar command.
