User Guide 4.2 pages 11 and 12.

The listing includes one no-cost app that you must download yourself (iBooks).

Thanks, that helped. While iBooks is listed in the Apps Library in iTunes, the others weren't. I checked the iPhone iOS 4 User Guide to get the same data for the iPhone. I can see why the Camera, Phone, and their related apps aren't on the iPad, but it doesn't make sense that the Clock and Calculator Apps aren't there.

I don't use the Stocks app and wish I could delete it from the iPhone

But that doesn't explain why iOS 4.2.1 still has the clock and calculator apps in it for the iPhone. iOS 4.2 was supposed to UNIFY the 2 different versions of the iOS, yet it does not seem to have finished the job. The only apps not on the iPad should be those for which the hardware is non-existent like the camera and vice-versa for the iPhone as is the case with the Video app.

However, I was just curious since, as you say, I can get apps that are way better than Apple's. But I would like to be able to delete unused and sub-standard Apple apps like I can do with non-Apple apps.
