Gmail user name and password error

I tried to check my email, which I had already set up and have been using for a couple of weeks without any problems, and it said that my user name or password for Gmail is incorrect. But I have not changed my password, and I am able to log into the same Gmail account with my computer. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

I have the same issue...on my phone and on my iMac. I can access my gmail on line directly but not through Apple Mail and not on my iPhone suddenly. Tried the link posted in this thread and it didn't help. Any other ideas?

yeah im getting errors on my mail.app and iphone 4 now

The Gmail IMAP server “imap.gmail.com” rejected the password for user “piercehan”

I keep putting in my correct password and clicking to save in keychain and it just keeps popping up. that started on my mail.app on mbp last night and now its gotten to my iphone. i can still access my gmail from online web. i even made sure my password is correct and still not working on mail.app or iphone

help! ... captcha unlocking does nothing for me as well
