Good. I appreciate the effort but that won't fix the issue. I wish we could post this at the top of this thread because we have new people joining everyday who think they have a fix then they come back a few minutes later and their fix is broken. I appreciate all the efforts but I just don't want someone to follow a post that leads them down a rabbit hole.

If you read one of my post you will know that this is a software code issue. I used a brand new machine with nothing on it and this issue presented itself. Only items on it were Apple software nothing else. The issue failed on the MBP but not the other machines in the Apple store.

The only fix for this has to come from Apple. It is something within the SW code. Trust me on this.

Again thanks for all the hard work Good but I think the apple tech put your through some hoops that will prove to be worthless at the end of the day. Shame on Apple for not letting all the techs know that this issue has been trouble shot to death.

Sorry to post again (it's a frustrating issue for all) but I restarted itunes a couple of times and now I can't seem to recreate the issue. So it seems to be working....for now.

    goodfood -

No it's not. You must be new to the thread. Take some time to read it before you think you know the answer to a problem we have been dissecting and working on for weeks.

Exact same issues with Home Sharing on my new 13" Macbook Pro. Cannot connect my 3rd generation iPod touch with iOS 4.3 using sharing or using the Remote app. Not a huge issue but hopefully a fix will come soon.

I have an older iMac - the first of the Intel iMacs - and a PC running Vista along with my 2nd-gen Apple TV. At first we watched movies happily, but after a short while the Apple TV stopped connecting with the computers. I can listen to Internet Radio and I can watch NetFlix movies on AppleTV; I just cannot watch anything that is in my library. The computers still had Home Sharing working for a day or two longer, then they stopped seeing each other in the Devices List. So, Home Sharing has stopped working altogether and I can't get anything to share with anything else. My first call to Apple Tech Support suggested it was the firewall on my router. I have not made any changes to my router settings. So, I'm not sure where to go from here.

I just bought the new PBP and am happy BUT have not taken my G5 off line to the ATV1 and 2 units on my two TV screens. I'm thinking of an iMac 27" this summer, since the G5 is not "intel" BUT will wait till this all clears in the summer... or later...

May not be a huge issue to you, but huge enough for me that if it's not fixed Id rather buy and older model MBP and save.

This IS a big deal, this is one of those 'magical' features that we all pay through the nose for. (Happily, may I add.)

I have my case # and Apple will be Apple and fix it. If not however, this MBP is not for me.

This is a huge issue to me too. I'm into my Hi-Fi and I've spent days ripping my CDs into Apple's Lossless format in order to preserve audiophile quality. I've invested in an Apple Airport Express and a very expensive DAC in order to get the best possible sound out of my music library. The simplicity of using the iOS Remote App on my iPhone 4 coupled with AirPlay was the reason I made the investment through Apple and not through alternative products. Now I've spent near £2k on a MBP which I assumed would integrate seamlessly into this setup and it works worse than my 7 year old PC. I do have faith Apple will sort this out, but for me it's not just a "nice to have" it's something I use everyday. I'm sure more and more people will be in this position as Apple continues to advertise AirPlay as the complete wireless music solution, which it is - when it works!

The worst thing is that Apple doesn't recognize the problem! I can't believe that I'm the only person who had phone apple support in france for this matter. Everytime the support guy says that they don't know about this issue and that they haven't had any feedback from the top enginers of apple with sounds weird. So please everyone who has got a problem with sharing with the new MBP2011 call apple support. We need to make them react as soon as possible.
    Thanks to all.

    GRrrrrrrrrr

And now, for no reason I can discern, and with my brand new shiny i7 15" sitting in a cabinet at my office, home sharing with my Apple TV2 has just stopped with my old MBP.

I feel a throcking session of re-booting, resetting and praying like I was Job(s).

Yes! Works great now and I don't need to have my iPhone connected before starting iTunes.

I will have to wait until after work to download the update and try it. I will definitely post my results.

The details of 10.6.7 can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4472

The only thing that comes close to our issue is the line saying "Address issues in the AirPort driver for certain devices."

Other than that don't see anything specific to our issue.

YES, 10.6.7 update fixed all problems... Awesome. All iOS devices are working perfectly now, including iPhone 4 and ATVv2. Checked Netflix, YouTube, streaming from multiple iTunes libraries, all good. Catalyst9 signing off.
