Wired Magic Trackpad

I would buy some too immediately.
Yes, please Apple!!! Get your acts together and make a wired magic trackpad. I'll buy it pronto.
Abso-freaking-lutely. I would even plunk down another $70 just to have a wired Trackpad. I am so sick and tired of having to swap out my rechargable batteries every 3 days. I love my Trackpad, but I hate that I'm forced to use a wireless one. I'm surprised other peripheral makers have not jumped in to provide this much-needed device.
ditto! I really want one but I will not add another charger to my list of plugged in items and deal with the batteries needing to be lulled out and charged regularly. I also wont just go through disposable batteries every few days as that is environmentally and fiscally unsound. Why not just have it usb connected with a back up battery that charges from the usb?
very disappointing.
Can only agree. Wired is distinctly missing. Wired is more precise
Give Apple feedback regarding this. I did.
I have just started a thread on trying NiZn high voltage (1.57V) rechargeable batteries on the trackpad. I will report how I get on, when they arrive from Hong Kong. I gave up using NiMH rechargeables and am currently using non-rechargeable lithium batteries. Expensive but at least they last about 2 months, rather than 2 or 3 days. The NiZn kit of 4 cells and the special charger cost £12.86 including postage from HK to the UK.

I couldn't agree more. I would be willing to pay a premium for a wired magic trackpad/magicmouse. I share my keyboard/mouse with several computers through a KVM switch, so, wireless ones are not an option for me...
I plan on buying this Mobee Power Bar. If it works as advertised, it will be as if I had a wired trackpad.
Even with the Power Bar, it is still not the same. My original complaint for not having a wired version is that I cannot share the trackpad with more than one computer through a standard hub, like I do for my keyboard. The Power Bar only solves the battery issue...
Add me as one that would love a wired Magic Trackpad. First off, I do not want to deal with changing batteries. Second, precise/quick reaction is extremely critical to me. Finally, I run multiple computers through a KVM (granted, don't know if my KVM would be smart enough to pass through "gesture"). Please, Apple, consider giving us a wired option.
I would buy at least three of these the day they are available. All of my computers run Pro Tools systems that require very reliable connection from the input device. Just an example of another potential customer.
I will buy a Wireless version of Magicpad as soon it is available.
Just FYI to the discussion, my need for a wired trackpad has absolutely nothing to do with batteries, and I suspect there are others who might have similar wishes. I need wired simply because of the logistics of my setup. The computers in audio and video editing suites are almost always in another room, which makes Bluetooth a non-starter. I have seen many complaints about batteries and I want to make sure Apple knows that this is not the only issue.
