I just stumbled over this old thread, and as I just jammed with my Fender G-DEC 3 and GarageBand: There's a much better way to record: USB-connect the amp to your Mac, and select the Fender as the input source (and output if you like) in GarageBand. Works great and the sound is 100% clean (as this is a digital connection) ...
Hi Matthias,
I tried the same but have a problem with the very low input level. It's about 1/3 of maximum level. How did you solve tht issue? Asked that question several times in the Fender forum but their answer was that I need to add effects like timbre etc. I don't want to do that. I'm only like to have e.g. Blackface clean without any FX.
What are you using and how is your input level?

Hi Stephan,
I used Blackface with some both, minor delay/reverb and clean, and the input level was ... okay: Can't connect it now, but I remember that I increased the master level in GB, and the level was high enough afterwards.
