how to move the dashboard widgets around desktop

at the moment the widgets are on the bottom line of my desktop...I want to move them maybe to the right/left side of the desktop....can I?....what to do?
pls suggest thanks.

Sounds like you mean the items in the Dock. If so you can move them to left or right of the screen. System preferences > Dock, change position there. In that window 'Automatically Hide and Show the Dock' can be useful. Shortcut - Options + Cmd + D. If you're hiding the Dock to show it temporarily bring mouse poiner to bottom edge of screen. If you mean "Widgets' in the middle of the screen move them by clicking on them and dragging.
