This is probably easy, so I apologize if this is simple and I am just missing it. Here is what I need to do: I want to take the audio file from a boom mic, the video file from the camera, and after syncing the two files, use them as one file. Currently I sync them up in a sequence using the clapboard in every take, export the file with the synced audio, then re-import it. There has to be an easier way, right?
But test this workflow before being in a mission critical situation. You don't say what kind of camera you're using and cabling, settings, etc could cause problems.
I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts that the audio in question was from a doofy little recorder with no timecode. ANYTHING is preferable to that. My 2 cents.
