Can you adjust Right/Left volume balance

My hearing is better in my right ear than my left ear. Therefore, I would like to adjust the earbud volume balance to favor the left. I have never been able to determine whether this is possible. Does anyone know? Thanks.

It is nested, but in IOS 5.0 you can. Just go:

Settings>General>Accessibility

Under the Mono Audio switch there is a L/R slider.

It's not really buried - it's part of System Preferences > Sound, and you can go there directly if you don't need to set the stereo to mono switch. It's just that you also can get to it from System > Accessibility > [Open Sound Preferences].

Note that you can set different balances for each output device available on your Mac, such as headphones, line out, or digital out. If you check [Show volume in menu bar], you can then access everything directly from the desktop, and if you <option> - click the sound preferences icon in your menu bar, you can set input and output device preferences on the fly.
