Compress a .mov file

I know this has been asked a million times, but because I don't know anything about making movies to begin with, I couldn't follow any of the other threads.

I have a 120MB .mov file that I want to compress to less than 25MB so I can email it using gmail. I right-clicked and selected "Compress," but it only got it down to 99MB as a zip file.

My friend once sent me a video of similar length (3 or 4 minutes) that was high quality and only 11.7 MB, and since this one is bad quality I figured it would be easy to compress. But I can't figure out what to do or what program to use to do it.

What applications do you have?
To do good compression, you need a compressor. Final Cut Studio comes with one as do a couple of the i-apps. There are some online compression systems, too, but I've never used one.

The "compress" operation you ran at the Finder level merely compresses the file, it does not actually create new media in a newer, more compact format.
