error code 2615

Every time I attempt to burn a data/mp3 disc in iTunes it gets like 20-25 songs into the playlist (out of about 100) and then the estimated time starts to increase and then it cancels the disc burn and gives me an error code of 2615. I don't know what the problem is because it was just working a couple weeks ago and nothing changed. Heres the diagnostics. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

New Win 7 machine - same problem. Checked for CD/DVD driver update - drivers are current. Updated iTunes version and tried again - same problem.

PLEASE ADVISE

Alternatively, is there a way to identify and copy the actual mp3 files that build the iTunes playlist (other than identifying each individual song one by one via Windows Explorer) into another directory and just burn those mp3 files from the playlist source via another program such as Nero 9?

Tried modifying the filters in the registry as suggested in a couple of other forums - did not solve the issue.

So I was considering swapping CD/DVD drives, but decided to try burning a CD using Nero - it worked flawlessly, leading me to think the unresolved problem is with iTunes - not the CD/DVD drive..

Next I ran diagnostics from iTunes for the CD/DVD drive and this is the result:

Still no help??

Aug 13, 2014 9:05 AM in response to ducks505

Okay - I found the issue (at least for me - maybe for others).

First of all, I burn my playlists to CD using the "MP3" setting. After trying a few other remedies that failed, as a last resort, I thought I'd try burning my playlist using the other burn CD modes, and voila - when I tried burning the playlist in the "audio CD" mode, I got an error message "Some of the files can not be burned to an audio CD. Do you still want to burn the remainder of this playlist?" see attached screenprint of error message:User uploaded file

It's too bad this error message does not display in the other modes of CD burning! It is the root of the problem (at least for me).

I removed the check mark for the songs in the playlist that that were displayed in the error message and tried burning my CD again in my preferred MP3 option - success! I'll be looking in to the properties for these MP3 files and others like it to see what I can do to alleviate this issue for the future.
