Dec 24, 2011 4:58 PM in response to Oblideeby weiran,I've found another cause of this problem, in OS X if your network connection with internet access doesn't have the top priority in System Preferences -> Network -> Cog in list of Networks -> Set Service Order...
I had my iPhone set as the highest priority as I was tethering it with my Mac, and iTunes App updates page worked fine, however when I was on the WiFi connection I couldn't get it to open. Switching the WiFi to have the highest priority fixed the issue for me.
This sounds more like a bug with the iTunes Store than anything else, as the internet is working fine with any other app apart from iTunes.

Dec 30, 2011 6:51 AM in response to Oblideeby AbuSultan,Hello
This problem is due to lock UDP port 5353
iTunes Program uses UDP port 5353 to access the App store and the Bonjour program came with the iTunes package is responsible to opening the UDP port 5353 .
Perhaps the Bonjour program is disable and this happens when installing programs, proxies and networks.
Review the latest software installed on your computer programs specifically related to networks and protection programs.
If you are using Internet accelerators such as the Propel Accelerator .. delete it immediately and then restart the system and try to enter iTunes Store.
This is the fix to the problem,
Good luck to you,
Abdullah

Jan 25, 2012 9:15 AM in response to Oblideeby Jonny10,I've managed to fix this before by using the netsh winsock reset cmd command. I recently restored to a 2-month old Windows image and the problem occured again. Just re-executed the command, rebooted and it works like a charm again.
Unauthorizing and all never worked for me.

Feb 12, 2012 3:19 AM in response to Oblideeby Adrian Robertson,I fixed this by luck,
On my mac I went to itunes, then itunes store > signed in > clicked on my account information and noticed my billing address was slightly wrong, although i had itunes credit and it wasn't using my payment card, the card details needed to match the billing address and it worked straight away.

Feb 21, 2012 7:02 AM in response to Oblideeby hometeamdawg,I don't know if this will help anyone, but I spent hours on this.
When I tried to go to the itunes store, it would lock up and my internet connection would no longer work unless I rebooted. I tried every thing I've seen, proxy unchecked, winsock reset, flush, reinstall itunes, reinstall IE...
In my case, the guilty culprit was a video/graphics driver. I figured it out because the itunes store would have little white lines occasionally flickering.
I updated the driver and itunes store now works.

Mar 11, 2012 11:45 PM in response to Oblideeby Krishnabal,I also got the issue when I installed the ITunes (64-Bit) 10.6.0.40 in Windows 7.
I could rectify it also.
The steps I did was
1) Used FIXIT from windows to fix the HOST file in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Please refer http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 for details
2) Open command prompt (Right click the icon and use Run as Administrator) and trpe this command
netsh winsock reset
3) Restart the computer and check. Most probably it will work.
4) If that doesn't solve please check these also if all the settings are correct or not.

Mar 12, 2012 8:04 PM in response to Oblideeby Krishnabal,Hi,
1) The FIXIT has to be downlaoded for Microsoft Support. It will automaticlly fix the host file present in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
Please download and install that small utility.
2) In this step you need to opne Command prompt in Administrator mode. So goto
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt (Please right click the icon and find the use "Run as Administrator). And use the command netsh winsock resetPlease find the screenshot below of opening command prompt

Mar 31, 2012 11:03 PM in response to Oblideeby roy_sf,I am having this same problem as well and am unable to get a fix. It started randomly a few weeks ago and I have not been able to get the iTunes Store or iTunes Match working since. It is incredibly frustrating.
Apple - please help identify a fix!
If it helps, I cannot access the Bonjour service due to IT restrictions but have never had an issue in the past.

Apr 25, 2012 6:34 PM in response to Oblideeby Khaelie,I tried EVERYTHING in this thread and had no luck connecting to iTunes. Found something else that indicated it might be my network adapter. I have the killer wireless n1103. went to their site, updated as they advised and restarted and i was able to connect.
