How do you FADE UP FROM BLACK and FADE OUT TO BLACK in iMovie 11?

How do you FADE UP FROM BLACK and FADE OUT TO BLACK in iMovie 11?

With all the silly effects in iMovie 11, I can't figure out how to do a simple FADE UP FROM BLACK or FADE OUT TO BLACK. Anybody know?

mac book pro 2.33 15", Mac OS X (10.6.6)

This might seem dopey, but would it be useful to use a TRansition Effect, Fade Out and Fade In Black?? ? -L

As Lorna says, use the Fade Through Black transition.

OK. In the transitions palette, there is a "Fade to Black" but not a "Fade Up From Black". Is there a "Fade Up From Black" or "Fade In From Black" transition?

Fade to Black does it all. At the beginning of the sequence it fades up from black. Between clips it fades to black and back from black. At the end of the sequence it fades to black.

Apple Man your response "do as Lorna says" misses that Lorna actually suggested adding a "fade up from black" transition.

Entitling the transition "Fade to Black" in iMovie when it also works to "Fade From Black" is a mistake that needs changing imho.
