How do I decrease the screen size so I can see my Toolbar on top and my Dock on Bottom? Right now, I have to scroll up or down to see Toolbar or Dock.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6), 13.4"

    System Preferences --> Displays --> Resolutions: 1280 x 800

    That is the native size.

    Sounds like you have the screen zoomed. Hold CNTL and scroll down on the mouse or trackpad.

    Thank you Captfred.  This accomplished ability to see entire tool bar with out having to scroll right and left.

    I would still prefer my Dock to be visible all the time.  Right now I have to scroll down and it pops up.  Happy I solved half the annoyance.

    Thanks again.

    That's a different issue, and easy to fix. Go into System Preferences, click Dock, and deselect "Automatically hide and show the dock." This will leave it on screen permanently.

    Now I feel like I am back to square one and in the right MacZone!!! I know it is basic but we all have our little things that make us more comfortable.

    Thanks AGAIN>
