iChat works so well on the Mac, is there an iChat for the new iPad2?

Not applicable for the iPad, but one of the things I like the best about iChat is the 'screen sharing' option. Yes, there are other ways to do it, but this is super easy- especially for the person on the other end. I can remotely help out my dad and Daughter with problems, logging right into their computer.

All that said, iChat in the new iPad2 would really be a great feature.
Perhaps they won't do it, saying you have to go to Facetime?

any knowledge?

There is no iChat for any iOS device. Do you use iChat for text chat, voice chat or video chat?

Third-party apps provide instant messaging features compatible with iChat. I use "Verbs" on my iPhone.

it would be great if apple would finally allow the ios devices video chat with ichat. a lot of people have macs but dont have an ios device and dont really want to download and use facetime instead of ichat like everybody else. i think now with the capabilities of ipad 2, it should be possible to have it communicate with ichat for video chat just as it does for text.

Submit your request to that link for Apple to consider it.

I understand there is a lot of different im messengers out there but
ichat works very well for multiple purposes. I really like the screen sharing as im always having problems and my friend can help me. Here lies the problem now, he travels a lot and now just takes his Ipad so it would be a great benefit to see this added to the app store for ipads.
