You can change the name of a drive, or change the name of a partition on the drive in Disk Utility. Without knowing more about your situation, I am not sure I would recommend this, because it might cause data loss, or it might cause your iMovie projects to lose their connection to your Events.iMac 24 2.8Ghz, iPhone, TV, Mac OS X (10.6.6), Panasonic HDC-SD5 iMovie 11
Problem is that I have 2 drives with the same name of the Project Library.
What I want to do is change the name of the drive listed in the Project Library to match the name of the drive so I know where the projects really are.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
The safest way would be to get a third drive. Name it and format it as you want. Then move the Events over to the new drive using iMovie. Also move any other contents to the new drive. Then reformat and rename the old drive.
If you have enough free space on your other drives, you might be able to do this without buying another drive.iMac 24 2.8Ghz, iPhone, TV, Mac OS X (10.6.6), Panasonic HDC-SD5 iMovie 11
I have a bunch of other drives (probably 8 or 9).
But reformatting would be real pain.
I have client and personal movies on all the drives.
Sounds like what I want to do cannot be done.
The 2 drives have different names in "Finder".
I will probably just leave it.
The only problem is telling which drive the movies are on and I can figure that out pretty easily.MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
