Unknown IMEI/ICCID

Hi, after using the phone for several hours my carrier crashes and after i reboot my device i get to see the iTunes logo and when i press the sign it shows;

IMEI: UNKNOWN
ICCID: UNKNOWN

When i reconnected the iPhone several times, iTunes will activate the phone.

The phone is bought at a local retail store, and is factory unlocked. If i restore it with iOS 4.2.1. it works for a few hours and after that it stops again.

There are no officially unlocked iphones sold in the US from official sources. If your phone was sold to you as unlocked, it was either hacked to unlock it(likely) or is an import from an official source that sells officially unlocked iPhones(highly unlikely). If I were in your shoes, I'd retun the phone & get my money back.

If you keep getting IMEI: UNKNOWN, ICCID: UNKNOWN, that's indicative of a hardware failure. Make an appointment at an Apple store. If your phone is found to be faulty, it will be replaced on the spot. However, if you purchased this phone from a non-official source, it most likely was hacked. This is common all over the world. If your phone was hacked, all warranty & support will be voided.
