Cleaning Rubber Bottom Tip

I unsuccessfully tried to clean my rubber bottom on my macbook a couple times - having trekked it through Africa/Europe and home, even with a neoprene sleeve it was looking rather grungy. I am fairly picky about what I will use on it and had tried Method's grapefruit cleaner with very little luck. I had the cord replaced under warrenty last week and the apple dealer who handled it told me I was pretty much out of luck trying to get all the little grooves clean.

Decided on a whim to pick up a pack of magic erasers - I can't believe what an incredible job it did with a few drops of water. Looks as close to new as a world-travelling 1 year old laptop can. 🙂 Wanted to pass on the tip for anyone else trying to keep the white rubber clean. Amazing.

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.6.6)
