importing .mov files into aperature

importing .mov files into aperature

I am using canon 5D mark II. It produces 1080p video files in .mov format. I cannot get these files to import into aperture. My old camera 720P again .mov format does import without problems. I am using Aperture 3.11

Any help will be appreciated.

The camera and format are supported in Aperture so what problems are you having?

I know the flee type is supported. However, the files do not show up, even when trying to import files from the same folder. The jpg show up no problem, but the mov do not show at all.

Have you confirmed that the "File Types" and "RAW + JPG Pairs" import options are set so as to include MOV files?

I rechecked the file types allowed. I do not have any box checked to exclude any file type. I am only bringing in the jpg files, and not the raw files, but I have not checked the box to exclude the video files.

Create a new empty library preferably as a new user and try to import the .mov files.

Made a new user, and re-installed aperture and all is working with new user. I then transferred all of the pictures over to that user and all good.
