Firmware Update SONY RW DW-U10A

I have a SONY superdrive (DW-U10A) revision "A43h". I want to know if there is a firmware update to this drive, because I'm founding more and more problems everyday to get the media that works fine.
Any similar experience will help !

Are you using Toast? Or the built in Apple burning software?

I tried all ways: Finder, Toast and even direct from inside DVD-SP.
In such cases I receive an error before burning the media. Those DVDs can be burned in other machines (PCs most) after failed in mine.

I'll look at the site you mentio.

Hello, I'm having the same problem with 16x DVD-R media. I'm going to call Apple Care to find out if they're working on any firmware revisions on this. This can't be obsolete after two years?!

G5 1.8ghz single processor Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I am having the same problem. It can read CDs and DVDs, and burn CDs but cannot burn, with any program I have used, DVDs. I first had this problem using DVD-R in DVD Studio Pro 4 and I have go to get it working soon. My business depends on it.
