The glass is generally scratch resistant, however, great care should still be taken to protect your screen. If anything gets between the screen and keyboard while the macbook is closed it can scratch or even worse chip the glass. Even something as little as a granual of sand... So be sure to keep your screen and keyboard clean and consider a protective cloth between your keyboard and screen when it's closed.
We have some MBPs in the lab at work and they have a scratch or two on the glass.
I also have an iMac screen that my kids have put a scratch on.
What if I use a damp lens wipes? Will that scratch my MacBook screen? It left streaks which seemed to look like scratchs?
