Purchased apps only showing on my MacBook not on my iMac

I won a MBP and an iMac. Both are completely up to date with the last updates.
I downloaded both Twitter and FaceTime from my MBP using the AppStore.
I than loggin into the AppStore on my Mac and .... it keeps telling me I haven't bought a thing. I "bought"a free app from withinh the AppStore on my Mac and still nothing is showing up (though I downloaded and installed it right away)
Reopening the AppStore on my MBP and.... the new free app showed op in the purchased session of my MBP. But still no go on my Mac. I already cleaned the iTunes cache and warnings but still no go.
Can somebody help me?

iMac 8.1 2.66, Mac OS X (10.6.3), 4Gb internal

Logged in under the SAME iTunes account on both systems?

Traditionally you have to download on each system (or transfer the files). There wont' be any "automatic" download just because you own other systems. That would like Ford saying "Oh, there are 3 people in your house and you just bought one car... here let us give you two more cars."
