Sadly I know Allan, and it started after the 12 months ran out. At first it changed on and off all day but now it is permanently the wrong way round. You can only tell the difference when I turn it on or off but the polarity is set the inverse way. As it seems to be settled though I would rather use the £200 for an OOW replacement towards the next phone as I had already decided to skip the IP4 as can't afford a new one every year.

Hoping it continues as it is, only problem is I can not in good faith sell it to a private seller even though it is officially unlocked so will need to use a recycle site. Never mind, let's see the next one and I think Apple Care will be a must this time! 🙂

1. Push "Genera"l. There's another "General" there. Push THAT "Genera"l. Now, under the second General" is an undescript button called ""accessability" . When that one gets pushed, about 4 controls down, is the obvious button called "White on Black". Try pushing that and see if the problem doesn't go away.

I fixed this problem on my iPhone 4 by navigating through these 4 simple steps:

1. Settings

2. General

3. Accessability

4. Invert Colors, then select "OFF" on the slider

Easy peasey!

In my case, I believe my phone was inadvertently switched to a negative image mode through an accessibility feature activation touch gesture. I've had more trouble because of these! Whenever something weird happens, I first check to see that this isn't the culprit...and it usually is!

The last time it happened, the images on my screen were zoomed to the point where I couldn't even turn the phone off because the slider that confirms your desire to do a hard shut down was not fully visible; rendering this slider non-functional. Thank heavens this forum contained the solution in the settings menu!!!
