can't connect device to virtual machine… in both, parallels and vmware
I've a tv tuner card for which i've given up searching drivers for mac cause they simply dont seem to exist. its an ENTER usb TV stick. product id 6000 device id 560a.
now, it works fine with my vista enterprise 64 bit boot camp. so i thought why not boot vista partition in a virtual machine and then connect and pass on the device to it to watch/record tv and work on the mac simultaneously rather than spending 10 times more on a mac compatible tv tuner (yes! 10 times more).
unfortunately, in vmware when i connect the device…. nothing happens and the device is not shown in the device manager. incase of parallels, it says "cannot connect this device, please try again later."
when i reconnect this same device with vista booted as primary OS, it works fine. i think it has something to do with os x not able to recognize this device.
can someone please help me with this?
