What is "not valid json" error on itunes movie trailers page

I went on the :

http://www.apple.com/startpage/

followed the link: "iTune Movie Trailers:"

http://trailers.apple.com/

Continued onto:

http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/showtimes/

and 9 out of 10 times when i select "showtimes," I get a page that is missing movie times information
and i get an error that says "NOT VALID JSON,." I've tested on the following platforms(see list below) and confirm that this is a common occurrence and i think is specific to this link on the page. Occasionally, I see the movie times properly displayed. Yes, I've allowed for location access on my browsers.

List of platforms tested:
MacBook Pro 2.4GHz 10.6.6 (Safari, Chrome and Firefox) All with the most recent updates
iMac (27") Core2duo 3.33Ghz 10.6.6 (Safari, Firefox)
HP window XP (Chrome, Firefox, IE9)
iPad (in both 3G and Wifi) location access on (safari)
iPhone (in both 3G and Wifi) location access on (safari)

All platforms have experienced similar frequencies of showing "showtimes" once out of 10-15 attempts.

What is this "NOT VALID JSON" error. I checked on google and it appears to be a Java Script Object Notation. Which does not mean much other than, the script appears to be not working in the coding on the web link/page. Yes, I've made sure that the all my browser allow Java etc... I've also emptied my cache and that does not seem to work either.

I checked on-line here in the forum and google and not much appears on this error. I've sent the problems to apple using the report bugs to apple option. Anyone here with any ideas.
Very frustrating trying to find movie times and links are not reliable and do not work. Drives people away from the web site.

please comment with any suggestions or ideas.

Hi,

Just to make sure, try testing Java on your Mac with Safari.

http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp

The test will start automatically.

Interesting that it's over three different platforms and various browsers. I don't recall this error before and have no problems using any of Apple video myself whether Mac OS X or iOS devices.

Perhaps something in your router. That's the only thing I can think of that would have an overall effect on all devices that connect using your wi fi.

Try restarting your router, then restart one of your Macs to test.

power cycled numerous times since clearing cache etc... does not seem to rectify this problem.
does your system load the movie times without a problem each time?

i spontaneously will be able to get movie times once out of every 10-15 attempts. so this leads me to think that a configuration is not solid our something is wrong with the link?

i was just able to get "show times," along with a google map showing locations of movie theaters. I don't understand why it spontaneously let me progress to this page some of the times and other times i still get the "not valid json."

Does anyone know what causes or how this "not valid json" is triggered? browser, network connection, firewalls, etc....
any thoughts on json?

i'm glad i'm not the only one experiencing this problem with APPLE's web sites. something is amiss with the json coding/java when it involves locations. Please correct this problem on your web site. it is driving people away from the apple startpage. NOTE to APPLE: Great graphics and design on the trailers page but you've got to cross your "t's" and dot your "i's."
