Hi i got an Ipod 2nd gen, and about 3 days ago it started to not respond to my fingers, well it didnt want to unlock, so i thought the touch screen was broken or something, but than after a day i started to work again, but than yesterday it just happened randomly and now it doesnt wont to do anything but once in few hours the touch work for like 5 seconds and stops again, so i pluged the ipod to my computer and restored and updated the ipod so its clean and basicly new, well that helped for about 20 seconds as it worked and than it stoped and now it work but i cant do nothing?? Any ideas anyone??

    Welcome to the discussions,
did you already restore "as new ipod" without using the last backup to restore your settings from afterwards?

well what i di i pressed to restore so it updated as well, and as i did that i have pressed to get my back up files than it worked , than it stoped working so i did that again but that time i did it without puting my back up files to it so its basicly empty. If you dont understand because of my english than i will try to explain one more time.

Restoring "as new ipod" is all you can do. If you're still having problems, you'll have to contact Apple to get it serviced.

Ok well thank you for you anwser, but i was looking through internet and there are a lot of people having the same problem as me so my last question is : Would it be possible that the ressistor has been burnt?? Because well i thought it might be the digitizer but again alot of people said that they have bought new one and it still doeasnt work. thx again

I don't know, that's something only a service tech at Apple could answer.
