Simple answer: no. However take a look at [this thread|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12305815&#12305815]. I mention that the EOS had a remote control device that allowed for remote viewing of the pictures, but that would appear to be more than what you're asking for. And obviously not an option if you don't use EOS equipment.

The thread also mentions Eye-Fi. It's an SD card with a Wi-Fi transmitters, primarily for uploading photos. Using [Shuttersnitch|http://www.shuttersnitch.com> you can directly upload pictures to the iPad. The main supported way is to be near your Wi-Fi network. (Not a "public" Wi-Fi as you have to pre-configure the Eye-Fi device.) Away from your home/office Wi-Fi, you'll have to setup an ad-hoc wireless network. I have done this, but it is limited. (e.g.: having your iPad connected to a ad-hoc network means you won't have internet access over Wi-Fi. If you only plan to use one iPad and one Eye-Fi card (i.e.: only one camera,) then the Eye-Fi may be sufficient f)or you. Note that you need the more expensive "Pro" series of Eye-Fi cards in order to get Ad-hoc wireless. There are other suggestions such as using a Mi-Fi device or other portable Wi-Fi router to avoid having to create a ad-hoc network, but then you get into the added expense. (As you can see, not so simple so may or may not be worth the trouble for what you want. So if the Eye-Fi method interests you, Google the heck out of the subject and read the Shuttersnitch forms to get as much info as you can.)

There is no direct connection that would do this, but Capture One has a very nice features with the raw processing software. You tether the camera to any laptop running Capture one. The laptop connects to the iPad wireless and people will be able to see the images as they are coming into the laptop. They have a free App for the iPad and iPhone for that. Google 'Capture One', they have a video showing how it work. It's pretty neat as it allows you to shoot raw, and still get a preview on the iPad very quickly.

It is not entirely wireless as you still need a cable connection to the laptop first.

I've been looking for a simple Tether solution, but so far no success. Using the camera kit does bring up your photos, as thumbnails, as they are shot, but as thumbnails only, same as regular image down load. A simple app to display in full screen, USB tethered through the cam kit, or a change to the existing photo app to allow for full screen preview of downloaded photos " tap" to select for download " double tap" to display in full screen ? Live view would be a plus, but not a necessity. For now there's the eye fi, with it's limited storage and software glitches doesn't work for me. Keep it simple....
