Connecting a analog mixer to IMac

I need to connect a analog mixer to my IMac for recording. I have tried a Nady UIC-10 usb cable and had a lot of noise in the recording. I think it may have been the cable since it is really for recording a single Mic. Which works fine. Now I have A Yamaha MG 166c mixer and need to connect it. Is there a cable that anyone would recommend for this, I am looking for something that will not create unwanted noise. I have found the Alesis-Line Link USB audio cable, has anyone tried this?
