Does using facetime cost money?

I just want to be sure on this before I get a surprising high phone bill... but does it cost money using facetime when I call from my iphone on the street to my iMac at home? I think that only my internet connection is being used, not my phone provider, right?

Your iPhone's FaceTime will only connect via wi-fi, so there will be no per minute charge *unless there is a charge for the wi-fi connection you are using on the street*.

Right! iPhone's FaceTime does not operate via cellular or 3g connection.
