Downloading photos from iPhone to computer

Please can anyone advise me how to download the images taken on my iPhone camera to my laptop?

iPhone 4 & Mac Laptop, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Connect the iPhone, then open iPhoto. iPhoto will recognise the iPhone and you can import the pictures.

Or you can use Image Capture

Both of these come with every Mac

iPhoto is the way to go here. 🙂
But when I want to use just one (or not that many) photos from my library on the go and cant sync my iPhone right away, I always send the photo to myself per email. A little low tech, but it does the trick. This way sharing or using photos on other peoples computers works just fine.
